Let’s see how things happened at the Money in the Bank PPV.

2020 Money in the Bank PPV Review

We kicked the main card off with New Day defending their SmackDown tag titles in a Fatal Four Way. Unfortunately, one of the Usos is injured and will miss a significant amount of time. The Forgotten Sons was called up from NXT to take their spot. Miz & Morrison are the former champs and trying to regain the belts. Lucha House Party bring excitement to this match and I’m hoping they’ll get a run with the belts eventually. The match was what we expected with all teams getting in a good amount of offense. In the end, Big E pinned Metalik after hitting the Big Ending. Winners and Still SmackDown Tag Champs: New Day

Match Rating: 3/5

MVP vs. R-Truth

This was supposed to be MVP taking on R-Truth, but things change quickly. After Truth & MVP went back and forth on the mic with each other, Bobby Lashley interrupted. Lashley told MVP he had the night off and fought Truth. Lashley squashed him. Winner: Bobby Lashley

Match Rating: Squash

Bayley defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Tamina Snuka. Before the match, they’re still trying to push dissension between Bayley & Banks. Tamina used her power throughout the match against Bayley. Bayley has bell from Banks and used her quickness with some aggression in this one. In the end, Tamina hit the superkick and Samoan Drop but Sasha got into the ring for a distraction. Tamina chased Sasha but Bayley rolled up Tamina to score the pinfall victory. Sasha attacked Tamina after the match and gave the title to Bayley. Winner and Still SmackDown Women’s Champ: Bayley

Match Rating: 3/5

Braun Strowman put up his Universal Championship against Bray Wyatt. This match was all about the teacher versus pupil. As we know, Bray Wyatt introduced the world to Braun Strowman when he brought him in to be a part of the Wyatt Family. This was a pretty physical match between these two as Bray tried to continue to get in Strowman’s head. Eventually, Braun put on the black sheep mask and seemed to be coming back to Bray. Braun drops to his knees and does Wyatt’s taunt. Bray laughs away, but Braun stands up and accepts his hug. The puppets at ringside all cheer what’s going on as they hug. Braun then takes the mask off, then stomps on it. He then hits a running powerslam, cover, 1-2-3. Winner and Still Universal Champ: Braun Strowman

Match Rating: 3.25/5

Drew McIntyre put up his WWE Championship against Seth Rollins. At the beginning of the match, they felt each other out for a little bit. Afterwards, this became a very physical match between these. This match also had some pretty cool spots and some good wrestling. One was when McIntyre falls to the tree of woe position, but he’s able to reach up and hit a suplex, flipping Rollins down on his stomach! McIntyre counts it down for a claymore, but takes a superkick, Rollins hits a stomp! Cover, 1-2-no! Rollins looks for another stomp, nope, headbutt, superkick by Rollins, but McIntyre cracks him with a claymore kick for the win. Winner and Still WWE Champ: Drew McIntyre

Match Rating: 4/5

We also had the Men’s Money in the Bank match going on at the same time. We had appearances from Brother Love, Doink the Clown, Paul Heyman, John Laurinaitis and Mr. McMahon. Styles also entered a room that was filled with caskets for the Undertaker and had flashbacks to WrestleMania. Pretty funny moment when Styles and Daniel Bryan fought into Mr. McMahon’s offense. Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio were tossed off the edge of the building by Corbin. Otis and AJ battle in the ring, Styles hit a phenomenal forearm on Otis. AJ climbs up, as does Corbin, they battle over the case. They both unhook it at the same time, but Elias shows up and whacks Corbin over the back, AJ goes to rip it away and it falls down to Otis! 2020 Mr. Money in the Bank: Otis

Match Rating: 3.5/5
