Now that we have the ladies out of the way, let’s focus on the fellas. With the injury to Apollo Crews, there was a gauntlet match to determine his replacement on Raw. The returning A.J. Styles was able to capture the opportunity to be the final entrant to the Money in the Bank match. Styles joins Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio as the competitors representing Raw. On SmackDown, they have Daniel Bryan, King Corbin, and Otis from Heavy Machinery. They are all vying for a championship opportunity that is good for a year. Check out the 3 Favorites to Win the 2020 Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase.
Aleister Black has been getting a push ever since finding his way to Raw. Black is a former NXT champion and one of the bright spots on Raw. It seems like Black could be feuding with Styles after the Money in the Bank PPV. Styles threatened to throw Black off the WWE headquarters roof. Afterwards, Black responded to his comments which could be the start of their feud. Aleister Black is certainly one of the favorite to climb the corporate ladder and retrieve the briefcase.
A.J. Styles returned this past Monday on Raw to grab the final spot. With his performance at WrestleMania, Styles has definitely earned the respect of the higher-ups in the WWE. Styles has done everything that’s been asked of him and could be rewarded with another championship run. Could Styles add Mr. Money in the Bank to his Hall-of-Fame resume.
This may surprise some people that King Corbin is a favorite. Corbin won the briefcase back in 2017. Corbin went on to unsuccessfully try to cash in the briefcase. Ever since, he’s grown into a great character and winning could add to his accolades. While many would frown at the notion of Corbin winning the briefcase again, but it’s possible. If Corbin were to capture the briefcase, him cashing in on Strowman wouldn’t surprise me.
Daniel Bryan could be a sleeper pick also. Bryan haven’t won the world championship in a long time and he’s a former winner. Rey Mysterio will make this matching interesting but can’t envision him winning. The final competitor is Otis from Heavy Machinery and this is the longest of shots. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ziggler doesn’t find his way to get involved and cost Otis.
